ADHD & Autism Professional Training & Clinical Supervision

Specialist support for clinicians navigating ADHD and autism assessments.

Dr Floriana Reinikis provides advanced ADHD and autism professional training alongside clinical supervision for clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists, forensic psychologists, mental health nurses, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists working in neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnosis.

With over twenty years of experience in neurodevelopmental services across NHS and independent settings, Dr Reinikis has provided clinical supervision for a number of years to professionals working at varying levels of experience. Supervision focuses on strengthening diagnostic confidence, refining formulation skills, navigating differential diagnosis, managing complexity and maintaining high standards of clinical governance within both organisational and independent contexts.

Supervision is grounded in a neuroaffirming, evidence-based framework. It supports clinicians to integrate lived experience perspectives with structured diagnostic criteria, to reflect thoughtfully on clinical decision-making, and to uphold ethical and accountable assessment practice in line with NICE guidelines and professional body standards.

Clinical Supervision in ADHD and Autism Assessments

Clinical supervision is available for professionals involved in ADHD and autism assessment across many different disciplines. This includes psychology, psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. Sessions are tailored to support professionals in developing diagnostic confidence, managing complexity, strengthening report writing, navigating co-occurring presentations, and maintaining high clinical standards within independent or organisational settings.

ADHD Assessment & Diagnosis Training

We can deliver structured professional training in ADHD assessment and diagnosis for adults, children and adolescents. These intensive training programmes provide a clear framework for carrying out high-quality assessments that are aligned with NICE guidance and current diagnostic criteria. The Adult ADHD Assessment and Diagnosis training programme has been endorsed by NHS Scotland for a second year running and has consistently been well received by clinicians across services. Participants often comment on the clarity of the diagnostic framework, its practical relevance to real clinical cases, and the thoughtful balance between clinical rigour and insight from lived experience. The programme continues to earn positive feedback for boosting diagnostic confidence, improving consistency and competency within teams and supporting high standards of assessment practice.

Commissioning Bespoke Training or Specialist Talks

Organisations are welcome to commission tailored training sessions, workshops or keynote talks on ADHD, autism and wider neurodevelopmental practice. These sessions can be developed for healthcare teams, educational settings, corporate organisations and professional groups. Each session is shaped around the requirements of each organisation and the people attending. Topics may include ADHD and autism assessment pathways, approaches to differential diagnosis, report writing standards, and managing co-occurring conditions. Our aim is to provide practical insight that teams can apply within their own professional settings.

ADHD & Autism Practice Builder Programme

The ADHD and Autism Practice Builder Programme is a six-month development pathway for qualified clinicians who want to deepen their clinical expertise and build sustainable independent practice. Professionals often find that they have developed strong assessment skills, yet still feel uncertain about how to structure and grow their own service. This programme provides space to develop advanced diagnostic thinking alongside practical guidance on professional identity and service delivery, as well as the foundations of running an independent practice. Participants take part in clinical teaching, coaching and mentorship within a supportive network of practitioners working in neurodevelopmental assessment.

Why Choose Oasis Psychological Services

Training and supervision are grounded in more than twenty years of experience within neurodevelopmental services across both NHS and independent sectors. At the heart of this work is a neuroaffirming framework that recognises ADHD and autism as neurodevelopmental differences, while maintaining strong attention to clinical precision and diagnostic responsibility.

The focus throughout is on evidence-based assessment, ethical and accountable practice, close alignment with NICE guidelines and thoughtful formulation that integrates lived experience with structured diagnostic criteria. Clinicians are supported to carry out assessments that are diagnostically sound while remaining respectful of each person’s identity, strengths and wider context.

This approach encourages careful diagnostic thinking without reducing individuals to checklists. It also supports reflective clinical practice and helps professionals maintain a balance between clinical rigour and compassion in their work.
