Taking the first step towards an assessment can feel daunting. Our adult ADHD assessment is designed to be supportive, respectful, and paced to your needs, guided by NICE recommendations and clinical expertise.
Initial Screening
We start with detailed questionnaires exploring both childhood and current experiences. Where possible, someone who knows you well, such as a partner, sibling, or close friend, is invited to contribute. If this isn’t feasible, we draw on alternative sources like school reports, previous assessments, or written reflections.
Comprehensive Assessment
Your assessment is carried out by an experienced Clinical Psychologist in a private, welcoming space. It includes structured diagnostic interviews, validated questionnaires such as the DIVA-5, and objective measures like the QbCheck, which assesses attention, activity, and impulsivity. We take time to understand your life context, coping patterns, strengths, and challenges.
Feedback and Recommendations
Afterwards, we meet to discuss the findings in a clear and supportive way, referencing DSM-5 criteria. You will receive a written report detailing whether ADHD is identified and practical recommendations, which may include therapy options, workplace adjustments, or everyday strategies.
Follow-Up Support
A follow-up session gives you space to explore the report further, ask questions, and plan next steps. Our goal is for you to leave the process with understanding, reassurance, and practical guidance for moving forward.
