What Makes Our ADHD Assessments Different?
At Oasis Psychological Services, our ADHD assessments are designed to go beyond a simple checklist of symptoms. Each assessment is a structured and thoughtful exploration of developmental history, attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and lived experience across different environments.
We understand that ADHD can present in diverse and often subtle ways, particularly in individuals who have developed coping strategies or masked their difficulties over time. Our comprehensive approach ensures that diagnostic conclusions are grounded in evidence, clinical expertise, and a deep understanding of neurodevelopmental differences.
The aim of every ADHD assessment is not only to determine whether diagnostic criteria are met, but to provide meaningful clarity and practical recommendations that support everyday functioning at school, university, work, and within family life.
Comprehensive and NICE-compliant ADHD Assessments
ADHD Assessments for Adults
Many adults seek an assessment after years of quietly managing difficulties that were never fully understood. You may have learned to compensate, to overprepare, to work longer hours than others, or to appear organised on the outside while feeling overwhelmed internally.
For some, particularly women and those who have masked their differences, ADHD does not fit the stereotype of hyperactivity or disruption. Instead, it may show up as chronic exhaustion, emotional intensity, difficulties with organisation, or a lifelong sense of working harder than everyone else.
At Oasis Psychological Services, our clinicians bring both extensive clinical expertise and lived experience of ADHD, which deepens our understanding of the complexities many adults face. Assessments are offered at our Kent clinic and online, providing a thoughtful and respectful space to explore lifelong patterns and gain meaningful clarity about the way forward.
ADHD Assessments for Children and Adolescents
ADHD in children and adolescents can present in many different ways. Some young people are active and impulsive. Others are quiet, highly academic, eager to please, or working exceptionally hard to keep up, while experiencing significant internal effort or emotional strain.
Difficulties are not always immediately recognised in school, particularly in children who mask their challenges or who achieve academically despite underlying executive functioning differences. Parents often sense that something feels harder than it should, even when others may not yet see it.
At Oasis Psychological Services, our clinicians bring extensive experience in child and adolescent neurodevelopmental assessment, alongside a strengths-informed and respectful approach. We aim to understand the whole child, their development, learning profile, emotional wellbeing, and unique strengths, so that families and schools can respond with greater clarity and appropriate support.
Assessments are offered at our Kent clinic and are recognised by schools and local authorities for their thoroughness and practical recommendations.
Why Many Individuals and Families Choose Oasis Psychological Services
Over the past eight years, many adults, parents, and young people have chosen Oasis Psychological Services for a private ADHD assessment in Kent because they were seeking clarity delivered with depth, professionalism and respect.
Our clients often tell us they value the thoroughness of the assessment process, the time taken to understand their individual history, and the balanced way in which strengths and challenges are explored. For some, this is the first time their experiences have felt fully understood rather than reduced to a stereotype.
We are recognised across Kent for providing structured, evidence-based ADHD assessments that meet professional standards and are widely accepted by schools, universities, local authorities and other services. Our clinicians combine clinical expertise with lived understanding of neurodivergence, allowing us to approach each assessment with both precision and empathy.
If you are considering an ADHD assessment for yourself or for a young person, we aim to provide a clear, calm and carefully guided process from the first conversation through to feedback and written report.
Testimonials
See what people have to say about their time with Oasis Psychological Services.
Such a great experience from Oasis!
I was very nervous and anxious about my assessments for ADHD and Autism. However, the staff at Oasis were brilliant, and soon put my mind to rest. The assessments were conducted in a gentle and sensitive manner, with opportunities to take breaks when needed. They were highly professional, very friendly, most informative and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
I cannot recommend Oasis highly enough!
An absolute privilege to write this review!
I’m so privileged to be able to write this review and fortunate to have found Dr Floriana!! I contacted Oasis on the recommendation of a friend who had used the services.
Dr Floriana went above and beyond in not only being understanding and empathetic to my initial concerns with my daughter and how she was presenting, but took the time over a weekend to call me to further discuss my requirements and offering me an appointment within 2 months which, given the current climate with these kinds of assessments was incredible!
The assessment itself was extremely thorough and detailed with Dr Floriana showing care and compassion which in turn made my daughter feel safe and secure throughout the whole process.
The diagnosis was was fed back to us very quickly and supported by a very lengthy and detailed report, with the offer of a follow up appointment to go over any concerns or questions which either myself or my daughter had. This was most helpful as the initial assessment can be quite overwhelming.
Given all the above, I would not hesitate in recommending Dr Floriana and have in fact already passed her details on to others.
